Jack Lizee

Club Director

U17 Head Coach

Jack Lizee was introduced to the volleyball world in the late 80’s by his dear friend, Bill Lash. Jack played in local city leagues, and later helped coach the teams of his daughters, Julie, Heather, and Sarah, and later his granddaughter, Gracie. He has coached club volleyball for over 20 years, and has been the head coach of Northwest Christian High School’s volleyball program for the last 13 years. Jack began New Heights Volleyball Club in 2025 and is passionate about helping athletes in our area grow in the sport and in life.

Bill Mills

U18 Head Coach

Bill began his volleyball career as a high school and middle school volleyball official immediately after graduating from high school 41 years ago—and he is still actively officiating today. While attending Western Washington University, he continued officiating high school matches and also played on the Western Washington men’s volleyball team. After college, Bill continued officiating both high school and collegiate volleyball, working games up to the NCAA Division II level. He has officiated in approximately 20 high school state championships. Bill later transitioned into coaching, starting as an assistant coach for his daughter’s club team, before his role of the last nine years as a head coach.

Summer Wurst

U15 Head Coach

Coach Summer loves playing volleyball and has been deeply involved in the sport for years, both on the court and as a coach, including as the Head JV Coach at Northwest Christian High School currently. Coaching has allowed her to share her passion, help players grow, and build strong, supportive teams. She is excited to bring that same energy and dedication to New Heights, where she brings a positive, competitive environment and teaches athletes to love the game as much as she does!

Holley Walker

U14 Head Coach

Holley began her volleyball career in middle school, which is where she fell in love with the sport. She played club volleyball starting at the U14 level, all the way to U18, and played on her high school JV team at Tumwater High School. She started her coaching career in 2013 with Evergreen Volleyball Club and has coached U14, U15 and U16 age groups throughout the years. Since high school, she has been playing in city leagues, and playing in miscellaneous tournaments around the area. She is excited to bring her passion for the sport to the club and help young athletes grow and achieve their dreams!

Kyana Payment

U18 Assistant Coach

Kyana grew up around volleyball, and started playing in middle school. She played for her high school varsity team during her sophomore through senior years, and competed in club volleyball as well. She eventually went on to play at South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC). Since then, she has continued playing anywhere she can: indoor, beach, grass, doubles and 4x4. Playing in these different formats has allowed her to connect with all kinds of players and adapt to different styles of play. As a coach, she wants to help athletes build strong fundamentals, understand the game better, and most importantly, have fun and love the sport.

Sarah Barnard

U17 Assistant Coach

Sarah grew up playing volleyball, drawing inspiration from her dad and older sisters. She started coaching as an assistant when she was 19 and has enjoyed helping local athletes grow in the sport. She has served as an assistant coach at Northwest Christian High School for 13 years. She is grateful to be part of the lives of young athletes as they pursue their goals!

Sarah Canny

U15 Assistant Coach

Sarah brings over a decade of high-level playing experience, including eight years of club, four years on varsity in high school, and collegiate play at Green River CC. She has continued to pass on her passion for the game through five years of coaching, where her goal is to prioritize fundamental growth in a competitive, fun team environment.
